Villas Ahal grew out of a simple idea: build a place inside nature where you can leave the city behind, be at peace and share something unhurried between hosts and guests.
We are a naturist hotel in the Riviera Maya, in Chemuyil, twenty minutes from Tulum and 2.3 km from Xel-Há park. Naturism here is not a statement. It is simply the most natural way to be in a place where nobody is looking twice.
Clothing is optional across the common areas. You can be fully nude, topless, or dressed exactly as you like. The only things we insist on are respect and consent — and everyone here takes care of that together.

During events Villas Ahal remains a naturist space: the pool and common areas stay clothing optional, and entry is for adults over 18 only. It is worth telling your guests when you invite them, so everyone arrives knowing where they are coming to.

What almost everyone asks before coming
Do I have to be nude?
No. Clothing is optional, never required, in any direction. You can stay dressed the whole time if you prefer. What is required is respecting everyone else's choice, whatever it is.
Full nudity or just topless?
Both. Full or partial, whatever feels comfortable. Nobody here is measuring or comparing.
Where can I be without clothes?
Anywhere in the common areas: the pool, the loungers, the gardens and the paths. The exceptions are the shared kitchen and dining area, where we ask for clothing on hygiene grounds, and the car park, which opens onto the street.
Can I take photos?
Of the place, yes. Of other people, only with their explicit consent. That is the rule that lets everyone relax.
Is this a couples only hotel?
No. We welcome couples, solo travellers and groups of friends, always over 18. Villas Ahal is not a swingers club and not a lifestyle venue: it is a naturist hotel, where naturism is about freedom and nature, not about sex.
Do you welcome lifestyle guests?
Yes. Villas Ahal welcomes lifestyle individuals and couples like any other adult guest: with respect, consent and discretion. It is not a swingers club or a partner exchange venue: there are no organised activities and no sexual behaviour in the common areas, and the same house rules apply to everyone. Private events can also be booked.
Do you accept children? And pets?
No minors stay here: this is an adults only space. Pets are welcome, at no extra cost.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 3 pm and check-out until 12 pm. Reception is open 24 hours, but we ask you to message us your estimated arrival time so we can welcome you properly.
It is my first time at a naturist hotel. Will I feel out of place?
It is more common than you would think: many of our guests are here for the first time. There is no ceremony and no pressure. You can arrive dressed, see how it feels, and decide in your own time. We wrote a guide for your first time in case it helps.
